Olivia Stacey is a self-taught fine artist currently living and working in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Growing up she could often be found experimenting with every medium she could find and learning everything she could from books and the Internet. Today, she works primarily in oil paint, basing her pieces on photographs taken of everyday adventures.
Her goal is to use art to capture moments that would otherwise be lost to time. When moments are fleeting, they may last in art. She finds great joy found in transporting people to a place of her creation, whether it be a beautiful day surrounded by a forest or a rainy day looking out a bus window.
